Tyler Mattson

Ty Mattson is the owner and head instructor of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Okeechobee. He began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2020 under Harlan Taylor, a black belt under Royce Gracie. After earning his Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructor certification in 2022, Ty opened Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Okeechobee in 2023, where he now trains under Rener and Ryron Gracie as a head instructor within the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu network. Ty is passionate about preserving the self-defense roots of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu while helping students build confidence, discipline, physical fitness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, both on and off the mat.
